I'm tired of the negative attitude, and pictures like that aren't constructive towards the thread so they will be deleted.

I don't have a problem with them at all.
If they allow riders to do more technical tricks than with 700c, than go for it.
Personally I like my 700's but don't hate on those who do rock 26's.
It's just feels diff in my opinion so I don't ride em. Though I do have to say, 26" 33mm wide rims in person look sooo dope!

Ive been thinking about investing in some 26's.
Ive been running b43's for about a year now and they are still in mighty good condition.
But 26's just look so dewp and sound a hell of a lot stronger.
Ill have to read up more about them.

I think it looks fine on small bikes, but ridiculously silly on larger bikes. When dual 26" are on bigger frames, it reminds me of the TT bikes before the UCI banned 650c wheels or some weird touring / MTB hybrid.
If anyone is wondering where to read up and research on bicycle design, your local library / book store should have a plethora of books. Things that you wouldn't expect to effect a bike's handling really do in the end. A higher BB for instance can really make a bike ride wonky. There are comfort tolerances with bicycles and the 30+ years of touring / rando / mtb design should teach you a thing or two about smaller wheels + bigger tires.
In the end, unless your bike is specifically designed for 26" wheels, it's going to take a lot of re-fitting to get it riding like it did with 29r / 700c. Which was the whole reason for 650b and Rivendell's school of frame design....
That's a whole nother story.

One thing I will say is this: why not just ride a 26" DJ bike fixed? Or an older MTB? Not being an ass, just asking.

haha still need to do some tweaking to fit a bigger rear and want to switch to a fork with a lower atc to bring things more into balance. the bike was ordered in about 30 min while i was bored at work one day so allot of it was wild guesses as far as what would work out. And yes sadly the larger frame makes this more apparent but thems the breaks, even as it is the tt is a lil smaller than id like it to be.

tried it in several different flavors and honestly didnt really like it. i havent tried a dj conversion yet but im trying to work with a connection at haro to get one of there full rigid 26 djs for cheap so i can give it a shot. But honestly its fun to ride as is.
I already got a couple track bikes so this is just fun for screwing around on

Young gun I bet if you did get a smaller fork it wouldnt look so bad, and maybe ditch those 5 or 6 inch rise bars. it will deff aesthetically look better...
then again looks aren't everything.
It's a matter of if you like it or not and that's all that really matters.
Hell just do what you want, ride a bike and have fun.
that's all I try and do...

bars are actually 4" they are there cause a 2 is just not enough
the bike is fun, and i managed to get a good deal on parts so it is what it is
also im 6'3" 260, i like the idea of big beefy tires
