Fu Manchu will work ok on the Mordecai, but it will not be perfect. The Fu Manchu was designed for the volume frame. We know you all want to save money where you can. You can start with it and later after you save up get the proper fork for the frame.

Matching the correct fork to a frames geometry is important. Its not just the axle to crown but also the rake/offset. combine this with the seat and head angles. front and rear center, etc. We have seen several times people complaining their bike does not ride well and blame the frames geometry. when all along they were not using the proper fork.

Here is the advantage to using the proper fork.

1. it will keep the original standover
2. less twitchy at slow speeds
3. allow you to perform smooth tricks and landings

The scissor fork would run fine with this frameset wouldn't it? as I believe the a2c is similar.....

Thanks for checking but our bike is fine. We do not post all the details of our bikes geometry.

due to the sloped top tube I don't think this will be a problem. kareem's set up looks sick. can't wait can't wait

We have seen a good number of seat post break during landings. adding the extra material will actually protect your seat post from breaking. As you can see on Kareem's bike his is slammed all the way down.

Originally I was going to cut the extra seat tube off but I realized that since I bend and break seatposts like crazy, having extra seat tube would protect the seatpost. If you wanted to have the seat all the way down by the top tube you could always cut the seat tube shorter and use a clamp.

my friend is interested in the mordecai as his first tricking frame, but really wants to ride 26's. based on the measurement before you can easily fit a 2.0 tire, but will the 26 tire reach the crimps? thanks so much guys

we actually built a 26" at the office yesterday, no photos of yet, but yes, 2.0 tires fit just fine, not issues at all. I will get the exact specs from the tires and wheelset we used when i go back to work on Monday.

Did the release for these get bumped up or is this mysterious shipping notice I just got for delivery on the 9th of August misinformation? :? I know Kareem has his prototype..

Kareem, care to chime in on the Barspin clearance with 160s and those Monster Truck Tires?

our shipping dept prints the labels right away, this way when the frames show up, we just have to sticker the box and away it goes.

unfortunatly, in doing this, it auto emails the customer the ETA (assuming its shipping that same day)

so sorry to say, its not Aug 9th, but you will actually get updated when the product does ship.
